Mom and Miles...He loves to sleep on Jessica's chest...So cute!
Here's the FAM!  Miles tried looking at the camera.

This was our first outing to the church house.  Miles wore levi's for the first time and he looked adorable.
Miles really likes warm water pouring all over his little body.  Bath time is a fun time!

Four generations of Sydenhams!  We don't really look much alike though.
We really wanted Miles to open his eyes for the picture...
Here are some big blue eyes!  We went to the doctor today and Miles now weighs 8 lb 15.5 oz.  That is 13 oz more than his last visit which works out to be about 2.2 oz per day he is gaining.  At that rate he will weigh as much as I do by the time he is about 4.

We welcomed Miles Jason Sydenham in to our lives on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 10:56pm at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah.  It was a long couple of days for Jessica.  We went to the hospital the night before but they sent us home.  We think it was because they were too busy but whatever.
As you can see by the look on her face, she was over the fact that the epidural wore off THREE times.  She did a wonderful job though.  We were in the hospital until Friday around 5:00pm.
Miles has tons of blond hair if you can't tell and people say he looks like his dad but it's a bit tough to see the resemblance.
Here he is posing, relaxing, something on his dad's chest.  What a stud!
The doctors in the hospital told us Miles had some Jaundice but that he didn't need treatment just yet.  We went to the pediatrician on Monday and his billiburin levels were pretty high (19.2) so the doctor ordered us a light treatment aparatus.  Looks like a ton of fun huh?  We went back in today and his levels are now down to 11, so he doesn't need the light box anymore.

I got my nose hairs waxed today in one of the offices I call on.  Nothing like lunch and then a good nose hair wax job!

Here is the most recent progress of our yard...it gets good at the end. We didn't rip our whole yard. We put top soil for days...and days...on top of our old lawn. That is why you see some old grass peeking through but that will eventually go away. We are getting more and more "green" every day!

So on Saturday the 2nd of August, we went up to Pineview Reservior to play. It was the activity that I wanted to do to celebrate the big day.  It was hot!  The water was refreshing and it was a sic day in the sun!
Saturday night we had a bar-b-q at Matt and Brooke's on their sweet back patio.  Mad people came to offer their heart-felt condolences for the fact that I am now 30!  It was great to have such support from my peeps, including Sara, Chris, Tracen and Logan.
As the festivities progressed, my sweet wife thought it would be a good idea if I would acquire some kind of talent and hopefully bless our home with music.  I was absolutely stoked to get this guitar from her.  Matt picked it out for her...thanks Matt!..and he got me the case and a dope stand to display my instrument.
TWO WEEKS TO GO!  Actually it is now less than two weeks.  August 27th is the due date and Jess is READY!  We have been to see 'Rocky', our doctor, every week for the past 3 or 4 now and nothing is happening that would indicate our child is making his appearance any time sooner than the 27th.  You never know though.  Jess is such a trooper.  She is always up for going to the lake or whatever.  No "I'm pregnant, I can't do anything" excuses from her.  We are so excited though and thanks to everyone for your generosity at the showers etc.  We really want to send out Thank You cards too!

Sunday we went up into the Sierra Nevada Mountains and tried to go to Emmigrant Gap but it was closed due to the 5000 fires blazing up there so we settled for Rainbow Bend in the Yuba River.  It was a pretty tight spot.  We liked it.
Lake Tahoe on Saturday...what more need be said.  One of the most beautiful places on God's green earth.  We had a blast.  I could go there a lot more than I do but that's how it goes...
Amanda and Chad got married on Friday, July 11th, in the Reno, NV temple. I think they are very happy to be together...we hope they are!

July 10th (last Thursday) was my father's birthday.  We just happened to be in Reno/Sparks for the occasion. Check the sweet hat and glasses!

Happy 4th of July to everyone.  We are blessed to live in such an amazing nation.  Although there may be flaws and imperfections, no nation on God's green earth can compare with this wonderful land in which we live!

Father's Day

On the Saturday before Father's Day, mom and dad came to town and we got to go to Lehi and have a picnic/party with all of dad's brothers, sisters and grandma and grandpa.  They don't get out much so it was real fun for them and us.

This is our new yard...eventually.

A couple weeks ago on a Tuesday night, we went with Jessica's family to the Hill Air Force Base pool and took a scuba diving class.  Neil is certified and wanted us to all try it out.  We all went in Hawaii but I didn't make it down to the bottom because I was too busy throwing up my toe nails!  This was much better.

It is supposed to be summer right?  Well, Saturday night we had a bar-b-q with Matt and Brooke however you might notice the sweatshirts everyone is wearing.  It was later in the evening and we had a fire afterwards but come on...it's June for crying out loud!  Someday it will warm up...we hope.

The Baby Is Coming

We bought our first set of diapers and wipes last week. Our baby is really on the way!

Vacation to England May 2008

Holy Old Trafford

While we were in England, we spent a day in Manchester.  It is about 2 1/2 hours north of London by train.  The main reason for us going there was so that I could see Old Trafford which is home to Manchester United, my favorite English Football Club.  It was absolutely amazing to be there although I would have preferred to be one of the 80,000 fans that see matches there every week.  Next time we go, that will be the gooooaaaal!
