Miles loves his jumper so much he can't stand it!  Totally out of context of our pictures, Miles really missed us while we were gone.  When we got home he was so excited to see us.  He would hug Jess then reach for me then reach for Jess and on and on.  He was so cute and still is.   He is getting more and more teeth.  There are 5 that have broken through or are in but there are another 3 or 4 that are coming.  He's just growing up too fast!

Jessica and I returned last Thursday from a week in Hawaii.  It was off tha hook!  We spent 5 days on Maui and 2 days on Oahu.  The pictures below depict our life for the 7 days we were gone.  Lots of beach time, snorkeling, great food and hanging out.  We missed Miles a ton though.  He stayed with Grandma and Grandpa so we're thankful for that.

This picture is us on a snorkeling trip.  We went out about 1 hr from shore to Molokini Crater then back to a place they label 'turtle town' and we got to swim with some big sea turtles.  Pretty sweet!

THIS YEAR....My lawn is doing very well.  I'd have to say I have one of the greenest lawns in the neighborhood.  There are still some bald spots that need to fill in but for the most part we're doing very well.
LAST YEAR...

So we went to Zion National Park a couple weeks ago for a work conference. We took Miles, hiked it, liked it, and Miles was a trooper. He didn't complain at all! It was nice...The next weekend we ended up without Miles for the weekend, in the San Diego area with our friends Matt and Brooke. It was a nice, relaxing weekend. We did a lot of jumping on the beach, hanging out, eating great food at some local joints, and enjoying So Cal at its best. We also survived without Miles for 3 whole nights and he did wonderfully without us...While in San Diego we got to witness the Grunion run on the beach at high tide when the moon is out. If you want to check it out, it is truly an amazing sight!

We love dinner time!
This one's more his size...
Miles is gonna be a baller when he grows in to the ball!
Great-Grandpa, Grandpa, Dad, Miles...

St. Patrick's Day...Miles had slobber all over himself...We think he's getting more teeth...
Cute cousins...
This is Miles and his friend Colten Freeman from Reno, NV.
While we were in Reno last weekend, I dragged my BFF Matt Freeman up to hit the slopes at Alpine Meadows.  You can see Tahoe in the background and it was gorgeous and fun!

Check it out...I've been hearing rumors from my sister-in-law that my son rolls over and even Jess said she has seen him roll over a few times.  So, earlier this week, I captured his first roll in my presence.  It was sweet.  We get real excited at the end so excuse us...we're just proud parents!

HAPPY 311 DAY!

NEW ALBUM IN STORES JUNE 2nd

We started (I should say Jessica started) giving miles some variety in his alimentation this week.  We added some squash and he wasn't too thrilled about that.  So this is him falling asleep, eating rice cereal mixed with carrots.  Yummy!
The weather was absolutely beautiful on Saturday so we went to Gardner Village and Milles rocked his shades like star!
I posted last time that Miles is getting a couple teeth.  I managed to capture them in this photo!

I had to include this picture of our most recent snow storm.  All the snow you see piled up on the garbage can fell today between 9:30 am and 3:00 pm.  I think it was about 8 inches.  Last Sunday my lawn and house were completely free of snow.  Since then we've had three good storms totaling over 2 feet of the white stuff in 8 days!  All that Globull Warming talk is a SCAM!
Miles loves chillin in his bumbo...he also has his first two teeth breaking through on the bottom...I'll try and get a shot of that!
This is Miles' new toy.  He loves jumping around and yelping as he does it.
Miles can stand on his own if he can be up against something.  Shortly after the above picture was taken he dropped to his bum and then backwards...he was not happy.

It has been so long since we have made any posts...I thought we would just put together a slideshow of some pictures of the past couple months...

Here are a few recent pics of our son.  He is the most wonderful thing in the world to us!

Miles slept through his first Christmas tree hunt...when he woke up and saw it, he approved so we decided to keep it.

This is the finished project from both angles.  I am very pleased with the way that it turned out.  I put a lot of time and work (and $crilla) into it but it is all completely worth it.  I hope it adds to your enjoyment of the holiday season!

I've been asked..."what more can you do?" and I am already planning more things for next year.  Jessica keeps telling me to just enjoy it this year and I do!  I'm simply preparing for next year when I may have more competition in the neighborhood.

Last night (Saturday), we had the official home lighting ceremony to kick off our 'fun, old-fashioned, family Christmas'.  We invited some of the neighbors and Jessica's family.  If I counted correctly, there were 46 people (including children) standing outside our home as I turned on our Christmas lights officially.   There was hot chocolate and donuts along with some Christmas music playing in the background.  One of my neighbors was out putting up more lights on his house and lining his driveway late last night...I think I have inspired someone.  We talked about going out early, the day after Christmas, to purchase many new lights for next year!  Anyway...

This is the video Jessica took just as I ran in to the house to begin turning on our Christmas lights.  I had two plugs in my master bathroom, I had to turn on the swamp cooler, I had three cords to plug in downstairs in the basement, one outlet behind our living room couch, and one more in the garage.

This is a video I took just after all the lights were on and running.

For anyone interested, and I know there are at least a few, go to my lights blog where I have broken down exactly how many lights I used etc.

Check out my blog for my Christmas lights...

How cute is this?  Miles asleep on Dad's chest.
Jess took Miles to Build A Bear and, as you can see, his bear is a JAZZ fan!
One of Miles' fav things is trying to stick his whole hand in his mouth!  Looks pretty tasty!

Miles had his first go in the Bumbo and by the look on his face, he was not quite sure what to think of the whole situation...

Miles had his blessing on Sunday.  Look how precious he is...then check out how beautiful Jessica is!  Daaang!
For Halloween we had a fire in our driveway.  It wasn't a terribly chilly evening but we did get rained on a bit.  We hung out, made hot dogs and smores and handed out candy to all the ghosts and gouls.  The comment was made that it was the 'coolest Halloween ever'.   Special thanks to the Dennis' for the idea last year.
